Archiving & Digital Preservation Policy

Policy Overview

Jurnal Pertahanan dan Bela Negara utilizes the LOCKSS and CLOCKSS digital preservation systems to create a distributed archiving system among participating libraries. This allows those libraries to maintain permanent archives of the journal for long-term preservation and restoration purposes.

All content preserved in the CLOCKSS Archive and the Global LOCKSS Network is secured with explicit publisher permission, guaranteed through online permission statements. We work closely with the implementers of the LOCKSS network to facilitate governance and legal provisions appropriate to the content, jurisdiction, rights, and access involved. Published content is distributed under the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial 4.0 International License (CC BY-NC 4.0).

Digital Preservation Systems

1. LOCKSS (Lots of Copies Keep Stuff Safe): Jurnal Pertahanan dan Bela Negara provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available supports a greater global exchange of knowledge. The LOCKSS system has explicit permission to collect, preserve, and serve this Archival Unit.
2. CLOCKSS (Controlled LOCKSS): Jurnal Pertahanan dan Bela Negara grants permission to the CLOCKSS system to ingest, preserve, and serve published articles to ensure long-term digital accessibility in the event of unforeseen disruptions.
3. PKP Preservation Network (PKP PN): As an Open Journal Systems (OJS) journal, full-text content is digitally preserved via the PKP Preservation Network to guarantee permanent access.
