Abstract


Coastal regions play a strategic role in the economy, ecosystem habitats, and regions with high socio-cultural value. However, coastal regions also face serious hazards from natural disasters, such as flooding. Addressing these issues requires strategies for coastal area management. This paper presents an analysis of the level of hazards and resilience of coastal regions to flood hazards. The study was conducted in the coastal region of Pasuruan, which frequently experiences seasonal flooding. The indicators used to analyze flood hazards and regional resilience are based on regulations set by relevant authorities and previous related research. The results reveal that the flood hazard in the coastal region of Pasuruan falls within the moderate to high classification range, while the area's resilience is classified as moderate. Furthermore, the findings of this study are expected to serve as a consideration in policymaking for coastal area management, particularly in reducing the risk of flood disasters.
