Indonesia Defense University (IDU) is determined by the minister Letter No. 29/MPN/OT/2009 dated March 6, 2009 regarding the establishment of IDU and inaugurated by President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono on 11 March 2009 at the State Palace. Based on the Decree of the President of the Republic of Indonesia Number 5 of 2011 dated February 7, 2011 on the University of Defence For College Organized by the Government. IDU academically supervised by the Ministry of Education and Culture in this regard made by the Directorate General of Higher Education and functionally supervised by the Ministry of Defence. IDU is located in Indonesia Peace and Security Center (IPSC), Sentul-Bogor-West Java and Jakarta. IDU in English may use the name "Indonesia Defence University". IDU is a higher education institution that is unique in that it specializes in defense studies Master degree level. IDU is a higher education institution open. IDU provides an opportunity for the military officers and civilians to learn and deepen Defense Studies from the standpoint of military, political, economic, social and cultural.
